Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.

Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table.

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD.
A Song of Ascents, of David. O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; Nor do I involve myself in great matters, Or in things too difficult for me.
Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me.
A Song of Ascents. Remember, O LORD, on David’s behalf, All his affliction;
Until I find a place for the LORD, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
The LORD has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: “Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
“There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.
A Song of Ascents, of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!
A Song of Ascents. Behold, bless the LORD, all servants of the LORD, Who serve by night in the house of the LORD!

How can we sing the LORD’S song In a foreign land?

A Psalm of David. O LORD, I call upon You; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to You!
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.
Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer. I cry aloud with my voice to the LORD; I make supplication with my voice to the LORD.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, You knew my path. In the way where I walk They have hidden a trap for me.

I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah.
