For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy.

How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.
And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
They will be delivered over to the power of the sword; They will be a prey for foxes.

Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrow,

You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. A Song. Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him.
Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is the LORD, and exult before Him.
A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, Is God in His holy habitation.
God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
You shed abroad a plentiful rain, O God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.
The Lord gives the command; The women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:
When you lie down among the sheepfolds, You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And its pinions with glistening gold.
A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
God is to us a God of deliverances; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.
To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice.
For the choir director; according to Shoshannim. A Psalm of David. Save me, O God, For the waters have threatened my life.
I have sunk in deep mire, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me.
Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; Those who would destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies; What I did not steal, I then have to restore.
When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
May their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, may it become a trap.
And it will please the LORD better than an ox Or a young bull with horns and hoofs.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David; for a memorial. O God, hasten to deliver me; O LORD, hasten to my help!
Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.
I have become a marvel to many, For You are my strong refuge.
I will also praise You with a harp, Even Your truth, O my God; To You I will sing praises with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.
A Psalm of Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s son.
A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, To those who are pure in heart!
How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!
Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord, when aroused, You will despise their form.
Then I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You.
A Maskil of Asaph. O God, why have You rejected us forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?
It seems as if one had lifted up His axe in a forest of trees.
Remember this, O LORD, that the enemy has reviled, And a foolish people has spurned Your name.
For the choir director; set to Al-tashheth. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks, For Your name is near; Men declare Your wondrous works.
For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, and the wine foams; It is well mixed, and He pours out of this; Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and drink down its dregs.
For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel.
At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep.
For the wrath of man shall praise You; With a remnant of wrath You will gird Yourself.
For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice rises to God, and I will cry aloud; My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.
The clouds poured out water; The skies gave forth a sound; Your arrows flashed here and there.
