In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors those who fear the LORD; He swears to his own hurt and does not change;
He does not put out his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.
A Mikhtam of David. Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
A Prayer of David. Hear a just cause, O LORD, give heed to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.
He is like a lion that is eager to tear, And as a young lion lurking in hiding places.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, “I love You, O LORD, my strength.”
He rode upon a cherub and flew; And He sped upon the wings of the wind.
He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.
For by You I can run upon a troop; And by my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God,
He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
You have delivered me from the contentions of the people; You have placed me as head of the nations; A people whom I have not known serve me.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high!
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. O LORD, in Your strength the king will be glad, And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!
For You meet him with the blessings of good things; You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger; The LORD will swallow them up in His wrath, And fire will devour them.
Though they intended evil against You And devised a plot, They will not succeed.
For the choir director; upon Aijeleth Hashshahar. A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.
But I am a worm and not a man, A reproach of men and despised by the people.
They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.
For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.
They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed; In Your righteousness deliver me.
Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; Be to me a rock of strength, A stronghold to save me.
And You have not given me over into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a large place.
Because of all my adversaries, I have become a reproach, Especially to my neighbors, And an object of dread to my acquaintances; Those who see me in the street flee from me.
